Prizes and refreshments are also available.
Easterseals will be on hand with information about their Caregiver Services, including their respite voucher program which helps caregivers take a break, as well as other valuable resources. Other organizations slated to attend the event are: Churchman Village, Rite Aid, Newark Senior Center, Practice Without Pressure, Home Instead, Christiana Care Imaging, Styles By The Miles, and Senior Medicare Patrol.
November is National Family Caregivers month. According to the National Alliance for Caregiving, there are more than 34 million family caregivers in the U.S. One of the greatest needs of these caregivers is respite or a temporary relief for caregivers and families who are caring for children or adults with disabilities, chronic or terminal illness, or the elderly. Easterseals is helping to meet this need through their respite program. Learn more about the program at the Boscov’s celebration.
For 100 years nationally, Easterseals has served as an indispensable resource for individuals with disabilities, veterans, seniors and their families.
