New Castle County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on Oct. 3.

ChristianaCare, formerly Christiana Care Health System, has rebranded itself to reflect eh firm's commitment to partnership and innovations.

“As we look to the future, we have an opportunity to meet the health needs of the communities we serve much differently than we did in the past,” said ChristianaCare President and CEO Janice E. Nevin, M.D., MPH. “We are reimagining how we deliver care — to deliver health, not just health care, to the people we serve.”

The new logo is based on Delaware's state flower, the peach blossom, and is meant to symbolize ChristianaCare's deep roots in the state, Delaware Business Times reported on Wednesday.

The ChristianaCare rebrand includes the launch of a companywide theme or mission statement called “For the Love of Health.” The effort encourages “everyone to reflect on the ‘why’ behind the health-related choices we make every day,” according to a company press release.
