Graduates earn 59 degrees, certificates from Delaware College of Art and Design


About 69.5 percent of the 59 degrees and certificates handed out by Delaware College of Art and Design in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Wilmington conferred 40 associate's degrees and 1 certificates in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a associate's degree in illustration. Data shows the school gave out 21 associate's degrees in illustration, followed by 18 associate's degrees in animation, interactive technology, video graphics and special effects and 8 associate's degrees in graphic design.

The college enrolled 143 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
