New Castle County Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 7.

The Women's Business Center (WBC) at First State Community Loan Fund (CLF) would like to introduce Her Story, Our History: A Women’s History Celebration. The event will celebrate the achievements of Women in business and community change-makers making their mark in history.

To highlight the achievements of women in business, the WBC will be honoring 11 Delaware and Pennsylvania women who are accomplishing amazing things in their businesses and communities. The featured speaker will be Jumoke Dada, a techie and visionary whose sweet spot lies at the intersection of innovation, entrepreneurship, goodwill and girl power.

Her Story, Our History will be an enjoyable evening out with small bites, good company, and celebrating these fearless women. The event also offers the opportunity to network and connect with other women in business.

The 2019 Her story, Our History Honorees are:

· Senator Elizabeth “Tizzy” Lockman

· Sarah Lamb

· Megan Burke

· Sarah Reyes

· Rhonda Allen

· De’Shaun Chancy

· Audrey Scott-Hynson

· Raheemah Jabbar-Bey

· Geneva Fonda

· Angela Grayson

· Christian Willauer

“We all have a story to tell, our stories inspire, uplift and aid in the support and growth of other women and that is why I believe it’s important to share our stories and this is why Her Story, Our History was created,” said Sara Crawford-Jones, Program Director at the WBC at First State CLF.

Her Story, Our Story - Women’s History event is March 21st from 5:45 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Christiana Hilton 100 Continental Drive, Newark, Del. 19713.The cost is $25.00 per person. About the WBC at First State CLF

The mission of the Women’s Business Center at First State Community Loan Fund is to act as the catalyst for providing in-depth, substantive, outcome-oriented business services to women entrepreneurs. The WBC provides intensive business training that includes courses on business plans, business finance, social media, and marketing analysis. In addition, the WBC provides the opportunity for new women-owned businesses to be mentored by existing, successful women business owners.
